Same-Day Dental Restorations with CEREC
Dentists can create custom restorations during a single appointment using CEREC’s computer-aided design and manufacturing system (CAD/CAM). Using 3D imaging and milling technology, your restoration will be functional and aesthetically pleasing. This dental tool allows dentists to make customized ceramic dental restorations in one visit. To get a part made, a patient usually sends a mold of his or her teeth to a dental laboratory. This can take up to a week and require multiple dental visits.
What is CEREC?
Using computer-aided design (CAD) technology and software, CEREC creates crowns, veneers, onlays, and other permanent dental restorations. It consists of a camera, computer, and milling machine.
